Category Manager - Financial Firm (6-8 yrs)

About:

- Our client is one of the leading Financial Institution keen to hire a Junior Category Manager with expertise in non-IT sourcing, and experience in IT categories is an added advantage.

- This role is essential to our newly established Global Technology Sourcing function, focused on cost efficiency and risk management.

- The Junior Category Manager will oversee category development, manage key deals and renewals, and provide commercial guidance to stakeholders.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

- Support development and management of non-IT and IT spend categories.

- Lead RFPs, complex negotiations, and ensure effective contract management.

- Engage with stakeholders and vendors to implement sourcing strategies.

- Maintain category performance metrics and contribute to sourcing governance.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

- Bachelor's degree: CIPS or similar qualification preferred.

- 6-8 years in sourcing and category management (non-IT / IT).

- Strong negotiation and contract management experience.

- Proven ability to work independently and manage high-volume projects.
