Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled QA Tester with 5-8 years of experience, specializing in manual testing, data validation, and database testing, particularly within the airline and finance domains. The role involves preparing and executing test strategies, analyzing ETL processes, validating data integrity, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Must Have Skillsets (Mandatory)
- Testing Expertise:
- Proficiency in creating test strategies, scenarios, and executing functional, database, and ETL test cases.
- Strong skills in QA database testing, including writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.
- Experience in defect tracking, conducting triages, and UAT coordination with business users.
- Domain Knowledge:
- Airline domain expertise, including Departure Control Systems (DCS) and finance revenue accounting projects.
- Deep understanding of airline sales data, accounting, and reconciliation processes.
- Data Testing:
- Expertise in validating data sources, transformations, and loading into target tables.
- Experience analyzing ETL mapping documents and ensuring data correctness and integrity in reports and dashboards.
- Communication:
- Effective communication with Test Managers, finance business users, and stakeholders for requirement gathering, defect resolution, and UAT.
Good to Have Skillsets (Optional)
- Hands-on experience with Sprint DCS projects or similar systems.
- Familiarity with advanced defect tracking tools or systems.
- Knowledge of setting up and managing test environments.
- Skills in finance-related projects, including defining acceptance criteria for QA and development.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience: 5-8 years in QA testing, with expertise in airline and finance domains.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Hands-on experience with data testing, SQL, and ETL processes.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
