Automation Engineer

Job Functions/Responsibilities :

• Responsible for consistent review of the non-functional requirements from business
• Analysing the critical business scenarios and create script using JMeter
• Perform post execution analysis and identify performance bottleneck
• Preparing the performance test strategy
• Design non-functional test case, create test data, execute test case, document the results and prepare reports
• Responsible for reporting performance critical issue to development and have it addressed
• Daily review of projects and managing day-to-day tasks of a project and scope,
• Ensures all deliverables have been prepared within defined deadline
• Responsible to attend Kick-off and Triage call
• Co-ordinate with various teams to review Test Plans, Test Cases and requirements.

Experience/Education Requirements :

• Bachelors degree in Engineering with a first class or other degree with first class
• Degree in Management or training in team leading is a plus
• Adheres to all company policies and mandatory compliance protocols as required by eCW

Other Skills/Abilities :

• Hands on Experience in Java, SQL

• Strong knowledge in writing script using JMETER

• Experience in debugging and exception handling

• Strong knowledge on SQL and database performance tuning (SQL Server and MySQL)

• Experience in application performance testing, database performance testing and grey box testing.

• Hands on experience of Tomcat analysis, JConsole, chrome developer tools, fiddler, AppDynamics or any other APM tool, Log analysis.

• Experience on any SQL profiler tool

• Experience of memory analyser tool and thread profiler tool

• Basic knowledge of networking layers and networking protocols. OSI, TCP etc.

• Should have hands-on experience in Troubleshooting and highlighting performance bottlenecks looking at logs, APMs, code snippet, along with above skills. The employee will be responsible for creating scripts, running tests, analysing results and reporting issues.
