Job Title Accounts Officer

Reporting Office Corporate Office - Andheri (E), Mumbai

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual finalization of accounts.
• Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, and other financial statements.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial records.
• Reconcile and close books at the end of the financial year.
• Coordinate with the ROC for any filings, approvals, or clarifications required for the company.
• Ensure the timely filing of statutory tax returns (GST, TDS, VAT, etc.) and maintain proper documentation.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of income tax returns, including audits, assessments, and tax planning.
• Review and track tax payments and ensure that they are within deadlines.
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to management, including variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly/annual reports for shareholders and other stakeholders.
• Analyse financial performance and suggest areas of improvement.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors to facilitate the audit process.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of audit data.
• Address auditor queries and implement recommended changes.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial transactions.
• Implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Maintain general ledgers, journal entries, and other accounting records.
• Assist in the implementation and upgrades of accounting software systems.
• Support senior management in strategic decision-making through financial insights.
• Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis as required.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Perform any other duties related to accounting and finance as assigned

Required Competency

• Good written and verbal communication skills for reporting and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies and challenges.
• Strong ability to maintain accuracy in financial reporting and compliance.

Qualification/ Experience

• Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience of 6 to 9 years
