Data Engineer

Job Duties:

• Work closely with IT, Marketing, Sales, and Finance to align metrics and reporting.
• Use quantitative skills to troubleshoot technical issues with platforms, data discrepancies, alerts, etc.
• Identify ETL job failures and work with the IT team to address them.
• Design and development of reporting views in SQL server/Snowflake to optimize reporting and dashboards.
• Design, Develop, and manage Tableau/Power Bi dashboards.
• Understand, monitor, and enhance ETLs to accurately measure existing KPIs, while bringing an analytical mindset to propose and implement newer and more relevant KPIs.
• Provide support to stakeholders including answering inquiries, investigating data issues, and creating custom visualization and analysis to answer business questions.
• Design and develop robust data structures and highly reliable data pipelines.
• Understand and document technical specifications, process flows, and source-to-target mappings.
• Provide support/consultation/analysis for management reporting requests

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Business, or other related quantitative field or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 5-6 years building data solutions utilizing Tableau/Power Bi
• Minimum of 5-6 years experience in SQL and ETL code.
• Good analytical skills with excellent knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with data modelling and data warehouse design principles and implementation
• as well as familiarity with data analytics and data mining.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce.com .
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Python, Talend and AWS is desired.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools.
