Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Officer with an ICWA qualification to join our team in Guinea, Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, cost accounting, and budgeting, with a proven track record of 4 to 7 years in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
• Conduct cost analysis and prepare cost reports.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Meet financial accounting objectives.
• Develop and maintain financial databases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.

Requirements:

• ICWA qualification is mandatory.
• 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial management.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with creating financial statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working in Africa or similar regions would be added advantage.
