Executing Calibration and Effectiveness reviews of AFC Compliance controls (e.g., Trade Surveillance alert scenarios) globally to ensure alignment with regulatory and organisational requirements.
Implementing and executing statistical techniques designed to produce quantitative what-if analysis to optimise threshold and parameter setting for AFC Compliance controls.
Supporting AFC Compliance Data Management initiatives to bring Material Data linked processes under management.
Supporting Information Security topics for in-scope Compliance applications.
Creating comprehensive solutions to effectively communicate programme topics to stakeholders tailored presentations, detailed reports, management information, etc.
Driving operational development to ensure processes remain fit-for-purpose and evolve with industry leading trends and best practice.
Your skills and experience
Experience in the financial services industry (asset management experience is preferred) with three lines of defence knowledge, particularly in roles involving the design, execution, or validation of a control framework.
Understanding of financial regulation globally, specifically those covering market conduct related topics e.g., MAR, SEC, CFTC, MiFID 2, etc.
Extensive experience in analysing large data sets, with knowledge of methods for identifying patterns, trends, and evaluating the impact of changes to configurable variables (static and dynamic) on desired outputs.
Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or similar language (Python is preferred) with hands on experience in querying, cleaning, transforming, and analysing data.
Knowledge and practical application of statistical techniques such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and distribution modelling.
Hands-on experience with trade surveillance systems e.g., ACA Compliance Alpha, SMARTS, Actimize, etc, including knowledge of control setup and execution.
Degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related discipline.
Post-graduate qualifications or equivalent professional expertise, demonstrating proficiency in required topics.
Proficient in MS Office (advanced expertise in Excel + SharePoint is desirable) complimented by fluency in other core financial services technology platforms and applications.
Excellent English skills.
Knowledge of another European language (e.g. German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish) would also be an advantage.
