Job Description
- Provide in-depth knowledge of GCP data services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, etc.).
- Design and optimize complex data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and analysis.
- Data Engineer will have responsibility for development & testing of the data integration/message integration mappings through an integration tool.
- Partner with product management group and other business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and design effective data transformation mappings.
- Design and develop complex data models.
- Advocate for best practices in data governance, security, and compliance on GCP.
Collaboration & Mentorship :
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Mentor and guide junior team members on GCP technologies and BI best practices.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the data and BI domain.
Your skills and experience
- Hands-on development e xperience in designing and implementing complex data pipelines and other data engineering/modelling work using Python .
- Proven expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its data services (Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Storage etc.).
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and NOSQL databases.
- Experience in developing, maintaining and publishing the logical and physical data models
- Excellent understanding in concepts of data lineage, data profiling and analysis.
- Knowledge of data modelling tools like PowerDesigner will be a plus.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and Agile work environment.
- Working knowledge of public cloud environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in communication skills (written/verbal)
- 4-9 years of experience
