Role Description

The Control Testing and Assurance (CTA) team is responsible for providing assurance testing on the design and operating effectiveness of the businesses control environment and adherence to applicable regulations and the Bank s policies. CTA develops and executes an annual, risk based testing plan that covers the risk categories owned by Compliance AFC, across all businesses in the region.
The role is for an AVP in CTA Data Analytics team based out of Bangalore to support the testers globally in planning, delivery and execution with data analysis across Compliance/Financial crime testing reviews.

Your key responsibilities

Planning, sourcing and analyzing data to support in the delivery and execution of Compliance/Financial crime Testing reviews and other activities.
Collaborate with various IT teams in different businesses area as required on Data collection strategy.
Carrying out data analysis and presenting analytical findings in a user-friendly way.
Interacting with subject matter experts to identify and analyse data elements, report findings or conclusions, and suggest approaches for enhancing CTA coverage.
Manage, associate and analyse large and complex data from multiple sources to recommend possible issues/gaps in business controls.
Collaborating with regional and global partners in other functional units;
Actively support the business strategy, plans and values, contributing to the achievement of a high-performance culture
Take ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution

Your skills and experience

Bachelors or master s degree in computers / Mathematics / statistics
8-11 years experience with data analysis and/or data mining. Experience and knowledge in banking and finance will be desirable
Understanding of structured and unstructured data, Data Visualization, Data Management, Data Quality Assurance and Data logic.
Understanding of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies, and measurement / analytics of such
Advance knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Excel, Access, power point etc.)
Experience in Big Data Technologies, Python, PySpart, SAS, SQL, Power BI or Tableau are required.
Experience and exposure to AI/ML implementation across Compliance and Anti Financial Crime domain.
Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and analytics is added advantage.
Experience in Compliance Testing or Internal/External Audit/Surveillance is an advantage.
Strong team player with demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with peers and business leaders.
Ability to evaluate and interpret information and reach logical fact-based conclusions
