Why You Would Love This Job:
Being a member of IT SIFMU Delivery team, you will support core Clearing and Settlement applications for DTC, NSCC and FICC as well as Wealth Management Insurance Services will be managed by this group, which will also oversee Master Reference Data.
You will collaborate with your peers within and outside your area to ensure that any best practices/approaches/standards are reused. You would be part of an Agile squad and will collaborate with the Product Owner (PO) to understand the business needs and participate in planning, definition, and high-level technical design with the development team. You will collaborate with your peers within and outside your area to ensure that any best practices/approaches/standards are reused and designing elegantly and robustly.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical expert on one or more applications used by DTCC
- Work with the Business System Analyst to ensure designs satisfy functional requirements
- Partner with Infrastructure to identify and deploy optimal hosting environments
- Tune application performance to eliminate and reduce issues
- Research and evaluate technical solutions consistent with DTCC technology standards
- Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; advances appropriately
- Apply different software development methodologies dependent on project needs
- Contribute expertise to the design of components or individual programs, and participate in the construction and functional testing
- Support development teams, testing, fixing, and production support
- Create applications and construct unit test cases that ensure compliance with functional and non-functional requirements
- Work with peers to mature ways of working, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of related experience
- Bachelors degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
- Knowledge in Designing and Developing complex Online and Batch Mainframe Application with COBOL as programming language, CICS as TPM, DB2 as RDBMS
- Knowledge on MQ and DB2 Connect as interface to communicate with Distributed Web application.
- Working knowledge in Batch jobs using JCL with Catalog procedures and files (PS/PDS/VSAM)
- Perform and maintain scheduling activities of Batch Schedules using CA-Scheduler
- Expertise in Application programming IDEs for Mainframe (IDZ)
- Working knowledge in Version control/Config. Management tools such as Changeman
- Expertise in reverse-engineering of Mainframe applications involving DB2 and CICS
- Nice to have : CI/CD processes for Mainframe

- Works well as part of team. Self-motivated, tenacious learner
- Curious and agile attitude
- Strong communicator who is a self-starter and highly motivated individual
- Able to support multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Able to provide adequate guidance governance to project teams during component integration
- Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills
