Technical Sales Specialist - Life Sciences (Chennai, Bangalore)

Primary Role:

The incumbent is responsible for the promotion and sales of Molecular Biology reagents/kits for PCR & RT PCR, Nucleic acid extraction, protein purification, Cloning and NGS, etc. This role requires a self-driven individual with customer centric approach who possesses good technical expertise and excellent selling skills. The incumbent ensures achieving profit and revenue growth of the territory assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Achieving and exceeding sales target for assigned territory.
• Provide pre and post-sales support to customers keeping customer satisfaction in priority
• Provide technical support as and when required to customers of assigned territory
• Develop more business within assigned territory and clients
• Manage Key Accounts and work closely with channel partners to achieve sales and profitability target
• Identify new key accounts, distributors, channel partners and direct trade opportunities.
• Call to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
• Conduct and participate in customer engagement activities
• Gather market and customer information and analyze the market trends to stay competitive
• Follow up rigorously on leads received from PMG team.
• Help regional manager in sales forecasting and executing business development plans.

Candidate Profile:

• Technical acumen in the areas of molecular technologies and next gen sequencing
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven technical, analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience of selling Reagents, Lab Consumables and PCR/RT-PCR kits is mandatory

Qualification:

• M.SC / M. Tech.- Biotechnology/Life Sciences
• PhD in Life Sciences are preferred

Experience: 2-8 years (Life Sciences Research)
