Engineering Lead - Full Stack Development (5-8 yrs)

Aramya is a size-inclusive women's ethnic wear brand focused on delivering comfortable & beautiful daily wear at affordable prices. With $9M in funding from Z47, Accel, and marquee angel investors, we're on a path of rapid expansion.

Driven by in-house designing & manufacturing and deep customer insights, we have grown exponentially in the last few quarters, and we are super excited to accelerate this growth further.

As Engineering Lead, you will play a critical role in building, optimizing, and scaling our technology infrastructure. You'll work closely with a high-energy team in a dynamic environment to create seamless digital experiences for our brands.

This role is ideal for a strong technical leader with a full-stack background and a track record of building and leading engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Solution Design :

- Design flexible, robust, and scalable solutions that drive efficiency and support future growth across DSLR's brands.

- Develop and maintain a roadmap for product and system growth, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.

Project Management & Resource Allocation :

- Allocate project resources to optimize the speed and quality of deliverables, managing project timelines effectively.

- Collaborate with developers and product managers in an agile environment to estimate and plan projects.

Software Development & Optimization :

- Oversee all stages of the software development lifecycle, focusing on design, implementation, debugging, and continuous improvement.

- Identify areas for improvement within the product development lifecycle to enhance scalability and performance.

Leadership & Team Management :

- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, promoting best practices and encouraging continuous learning and development.

- Foster a collaborative, results-oriented environment, even amidst a high level of experimentation and rapid growth.

Full-Stack Development & Technical Expertise :

- Lead by example with hands-on contributions to backend and frontend development, utilizing your expertise in full-stack engineering.

- Work on system optimization, including asynchronous programming, caching strategies, and distributed architectures.

An ideal candidate MUST have :

- Experience : 5-8 years in various engineering roles, with experience in technical leadership and team management.

- 1-2 years of team management experience.

- Technical Expertise : Strong foundation in full-stack engineering, with demonstrated technical accomplishments.

- Frontend & Backend : Proficiency in Python and React. React Native (or equivalent), familiarity with MySQL/Postgres, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, and distributed systems/microservices architecture.

- Cloud & Version Control : Experience with AWS cloud services and tools, along with GIT or equivalent version control systems.

- Willingness to operate from Gurugram office.

Preferred :

- E-commerce experience.

- Startup experience.

- Working knowledge of Docker, CircleCI/GitHub Actions, Firebase, Redis/Memcached, and Celery/Kafka pipelines.

- Familiarity with e-commerce stack modules and video optimization or recommendation systems.
