DS Techworks Solutions - Embedded IoT Engineer - Linux/Android Framework (3-6 yrs)

Job Purpose : Designs, develops, and tests software and systems for consumer and commercial devices.

Roles and responsibilities :

1. Design and Development :

- Develop and optimize embedded software for IoT devices, focusing on Linux and Android-based systems

- Implement and maintain device drivers, memory management, and storage optimization techniques

- Work on device security certifications, including AWS IoT Core or similar platforms

2. IoT Protocols and Connectivity :

- Implement and manage MQTT protocols for efficient device communication

- Design and develop solutions for device data aggregation, normalization, and canonicalization

3. System Optimization :

- Optimize system performance for resource-constrained environments

- Ensure robust and secure device operation through rigorous testing and validation

4. Collaboration and Integration :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IoT solutions with cloud platforms and other third-party services

- Work closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless software-hardware integration

5. Domain Expertise :

- Leverage experience in digital signage or broadcast set-top boxes (STBs) to enhance product capabilities

- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in IoT and embedded systems

Qualification/Experience :

- Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Experience :

- 3+ years of experience in embedded software development

- Strong knowledge of Linux and Android internals

- Hands-on experience with device drivers, memory management, and storage optimization

- Familiarity with IoT platforms such as AWS IoT Core or similar

- Proficiency in MQTT and other IoT communication protocols

- Experience with device data aggregation, normalization, and canonicalization

- Exposure to digital signage or broadcast STB technologies is a plus

Technical Skills :

- Proficient in C/C++ and Python for embedded systems

- Experience with embedded debugging tools and techniques

- Knowledge of device security standards and certifications

- Familiarity with cloud integration and IoT ecosystem
