Job Summary
The IT Administrator will manage and maintain the companys IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for all IT systems and devices. The role involves handling software and hardware-related issues, managing firewalls, ensuring software compliance, overseeing laptop and device management, and coordinating technical Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs).
This is an operational role, focusing on IT systems management and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management
Manage and maintain company servers, networks, and firewalls.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot network, hardware, and software issues.
Ensure backups, disaster recovery plans, and data integrity are operational.
Device and Software Management
Oversee software that locks/unlocks laptops and manages access permissions.
Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment like laptops, desktops, and printers.
Ensure antivirus and endpoint protection software are updated and functioning properly.
Provide on-site and remote IT support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
Manage IT-related requests via ticketing systems and resolve issues promptly.
Conduct training sessions to improve IT awareness among staff when necessary.
Software and License Compliance
Ensure all software is licensed and compliant with organizational policies.
Maintain inventory for IT assets, including software licenses, hardware, and network equipment.
Coordinate with vendors for AMC renewals, software renewals, and technical support.
Security and Access Management
Manage user access, permissions, and device security.
Monitor firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures to protect company systems.
Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
Vendor and AMC Management
Collaborate with external vendors for IT procurement and technical AMC contracts.
Handle escalations related to AMC and support agreements.
Review vendor performance and ensure cost-effective solutions.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
Generate reports for IT performance, issues, and infrastructure health.
Keep track of IT expenses and budgets.
Required Qualifications
Education: Graduate degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: 2 5 years of experience in IT administration, technical support, or related roles.
Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory): CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL Foundation, CCNA.
Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of IT systems, firewalls, and network security tools.
Hands-on experience with IT hardware, software installation, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with remote desktop tools, endpoint security, and access management systems.
