Software Development Test Engineer

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications through thorough manual testing, API testing using Postman, and database testing by writing and executing queries. You will collaborate closely with development teams to validate the system's backend and frontend components, ensuring that all features meet business requirements and function as expected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed manual testing to ensure that the user experience and functionality of web and mobile applications meet specifications.
• Develop, execute, and maintain API tests using Postman to validate API functionality, performance, and security.
• Write and run SQL queries to validate database integrity, data flow, and ensure correct backend processes.
• Collaborate with development, product, and operations teams to understand testing requirements and identify potential issues early in the development cycle.
• Create and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases, ensuring maximum coverage of all features.
• Log, track, and manage defects in the bug tracking system, ensuring timely resolution.
• Ensure complete test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and bug reports.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on manual, API, and database testing.
• Proficiency in using Postman for API testing, including creating, executing, and automating API requests.
• Strong ability to write and execute SQL queries for backend and database validation.
• Experience in testing web and mobile applications, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, and knowledge of API testing tools and techniques.
• Good understanding of database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking for identifying bugs and inconsistencies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and documenting test results.
