Role & responsibilities

Test Planning and Design

1. Analyze requirements and specifications to create comprehensive test plans and cases.
2. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and define test strategies.

Test Execution

1. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing for web and mobile applications.
2. Execute test cases manually, ensuring high-quality releases.

Bug Reporting and Tracking

1. Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or equivalent.
2. Work closely with development teams to resolve issues effectively and promptly.

Quality Assurance

1. Ensure adherence to QA best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing for mobile and web apps.

Team or Client Application Demos

1. Prepare and deliver application demos to internal teams or clients.
2. Provide clear walkthroughs of application functionality, test coverage, and results during presentations or demo sessions.

Documentation

1. Maintain and update test case repositories and provide detailed test execution reports.
2. Document issues and improvements based on testing outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.
• Testing Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Proficiency in creating and executing detailed test plans and cases.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent.
• Technical Skills:
• Experience with testing web and mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms.
• Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
• Basic SQL knowledge for database verification.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
