Position Summary:

Doon Institute of Medical Sciences is seeking a qualified and dedicated individual for the position of Assistant Professor in Community Health Nursing. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing the academic mission of the School of Nursing through teaching, research, and service in the field of community health nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver courses in Community Health Nursing at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
• Utilize innovative teaching methods, case studies, and practical experiences to engage students in community health concepts.
• Provide mentorship and support to students.
• Engage in scholarly activities, including research projects relevant to community health nursing.
• Encourage and guide students in research projects, theses, and scholarly pursuits.
• Actively participate in departmental, college, and university committees and activities.
• Contribute to community engagement and service initiatives related to community health nursing.
• Collaborate with local health organizations and community partners.
• Maintain an active presence in community health settings to stay current with best practices.
• Facilitate and enhance students' clinical learning experiences in community health.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Community Health Nursing curriculum.
• Ensure that the curriculum aligns with current standards and addresses the evolving needs of community health practice.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students, fostering a supportive academic environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the professional development of junior faculty.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on advancements in community health nursing and education.
• Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and seminars.

Qualifications:

• A master's or doctoral degree (Ph.D., DNP, or equivalent) in Nursing with a specialization in Community Health Nursing.
• Current, unencumbered nursing licensure.
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, research, and service.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
