Doon Institute of Medical Sciences is seeking a qualified and dedicated individual for the position of Assistant Professor in Medical Surgical Nursing. The successful candidate will contribute to the academic excellence of the college of Nursing through effective teaching, research, and service, fostering a supportive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and deliver courses in medical surgical nursing at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
• Utilize innovative teaching methods, simulation, and technology to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Foster critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and evidence-based practice in students.
• Conduct and publish high-quality research in the field of medical surgical nursing.
• Seek external research funding through grants and collaborative partnerships.
• Mentor and guide students in research projects and scholarly activities.
• Contribute to community engagement and service initiatives related to medical surgical nursing.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students, junior faculty, and colleagues.
• Foster a supportive and collaborative academic environment.
• Participate in faculty development programs.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on advancements in medical surgical nursing and education.

Qualifications:

• Terminal degree (Ph.D., DNP, or equivalent) in Nursing or a related field.
• Proven record of teaching, research, and service in medical surgical nursing.
• Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and leadership skills.
