Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. This role requires a deep understanding of construction methods, labor management, project management, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Scheduling & Budgeting:

• Develop detailed project schedules, estimating timeframes and allocating resources to ensure timely completion.
• Monitor project progress and adjust schedules and budgets as needed to meet deadlines.

2. Labor Management:

• Determine labor requirements for each project phase and dispatch workers to construction sites accordingly.
• Direct and supervise construction workers, ensuring proper staffing and task assignment.

3. Compliance Monitoring:

• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and other applicable standards.
• Ensure that all permits and licenses required for construction are obtained.

4. Contract Management & Negotiation:

• Review and interpret project plans and contracts, clearly communicating terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
• Negotiate and prepare revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.

5. Quality Control & Safety:

• Implement and maintain quality control programs, ensuring construction activities meet the required specifications.
• Address construction delays, bad weather, or emergencies by taking corrective actions to keep the project on track.

6. Material & Supply Management:

• Oversee the requisition of materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring timely availability and proper inventory management.
• Monitor cost tracking and submit regular progress and budget reports.

7. Site Supervision & Inspection:

• Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and sanitation requirements.
• Confer with owners, contractors, design professionals, and supervisory personnel to resolve issues and streamline project processes.

8. Land Acquisition & Planning:

• Oversee the acquisition of land or property for construction projects, ensuring proper legal procedures and due diligence are followed.
• Analyze survey reports, maps, blueprints, and other data to effectively plan and design construction projects.

9. Design & Structural Integrity:

• Use design software and tools to plan and design infrastructure systems and structures, ensuring compliance with government and construction standards.
• Evaluate the structural integrity of foundations, concrete, asphalt, steel, and other materials through testing.

10. Cost Estimation & Feasibility:

• Estimate the quantities and costs of materials, equipment, and labor to determine project feasibility.
• Perform cost-effective analysis, ensuring the project remains within the proposed budget while maintaining quality.

11. Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare and present reports, including bid proposals, environmental impact statements, and property descriptions.
• Document project progress and communicate updates to all stakeholders.

12. Technical Advice & Problem Solving:

• Provide technical advice regarding construction modifications, design changes, or structural repairs to project teams, industrial, and managerial personnel.
• Investigate and resolve issues arising during construction to ensure minimal disruption to the project.

Qualifications:

• B.E. / B. Tech / Diploma in Civil, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Construction Manager or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to analyze project specifications, budgets, and timelines effectively.
• Proficiency with construction management software and project management tools.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

• Office and on-site work at construction locations.
• Occasional extended hours required to meet project deadlines.
• Travel to various construction sites as needed.
