- The Autosys Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of the AutoSys job scheduling system
- This role involves collaborating with various teams to understand business requirements, designing efficient job workflows, and ensuring the reliable execution of scheduled jobs
- The Autosys Engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues, optimizing job schedules, and providing technical support
- Key Responsibilities:System Design and Implementation:Design, implement, and maintain AutoSys job scheduling systems based on business requirements
- Collaborate with business analysts and application owners to understand job scheduling needs
- Job Workflow Development:Develop and implement job workflows to automate and schedule various IT processes
- Optimize job sequences for efficiency and resource utilization
- Job Monitoring and Maintenance:Monitor job execution to ensure successful completion and timely execution
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to job failures, dependencies, and scheduling conflicts
- Performance Optimization:Identify opportunities for performance improvement and optimization of job schedules
- Implement best practices to enhance the overall performance of the AutoSys environment
- Documentation:Create and maintain documentation related to job schedules, dependencies, and system configurations
- Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant team members
- Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and requirements
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including developers, system administrators, and business analysts
- Technical Support:Provide technical support for AutoSys-related issues
- Work with vendors and support teams to resolve any technical challenges
