The Autosys Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of the AutoSys job scheduling system
This role involves collaborating with various teams to understand business requirements, designing efficient job workflows, and ensuring the reliable execution of scheduled jobs
The Autosys Engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues, optimizing job schedules, and providing technical support
Key Responsibilities:System Design and Implementation:Design, implement, and maintain AutoSys job scheduling systems based on business requirements
Collaborate with business analysts and application owners to understand job scheduling needs
Job Workflow Development:Develop and implement job workflows to automate and schedule various IT processes
Optimize job sequences for efficiency and resource utilization
Job Monitoring and Maintenance:Monitor job execution to ensure successful completion and timely execution
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to job failures, dependencies, and scheduling conflicts
Performance Optimization:Identify opportunities for performance improvement and optimization of job schedules
Implement best practices to enhance the overall performance of the AutoSys environment
Documentation:Create and maintain documentation related to job schedules, dependencies, and system configurations
Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant team members
Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and requirements
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including developers, system administrators, and business analysts
Technical Support:Provide technical support for AutoSys-related issues
Work with vendors and support teams to resolve any technical challenges
