Job Description
Position Overview
Key Responsibilities:
- XML File Management: Process, validate, and edit XML files ensuring they meet specified standards and formats.
- Data Entry and Integration: Input data into XML documents and ensure
correct formatting and integrity of the data. - Data Validation: Ensure XML files are properly validated for errors and
inconsistencies by using XML validation tools or scripts. - Content Management: Modify and update XML documents based on
business requirements or project changes, including updating tags, attributes,
and structure. - System Integration: Assist in integrating XML data into software
applications, websites, or databases. - Conversion: Convert data between different formats (e.g., XML to HTML,
XML to CSV) as needed for reporting or other purposes. - Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with XML files or data
formatting, working with developers or other teams when necessary. - Support: Provide technical support for internal teams in managing and
processing XML files, ensuring minimal downtime or errors. - Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation regarding XML data
standards, processes, and best practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience working with XML, XSLT, or similar data markup languages is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in XML, HTML, and related technologies.
- Experience with XML validation tools and editors (e.g., XMLSpy, Oxygen XML).
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high accuracy when working with complex datasets and file structures.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and fix issues related to XML formatting, data integrity, or system integration.
- Communication: Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to achieve project goals.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in
a fast-paced environment.
