Sr. Procurement Executive - FMCG/Retail

• Research, identify, and evaluate potential international suppliers based on quality, pricing, reliability, and other relevant criteria.
• Conduct supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms for the procurement of goods and materials.
• Manage the end-to-end import process, including coordinating with logistics providers, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sourcing strategies that optimize costs and meet quality standards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and other relevant documentation.
• Stay updated on international trade regulations, tariffs, and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory guidelines.
• Oversee and foresee the future market trends, saleable and profitable products.
• Manage and supervise day to day purchasing, stock orders and make sure it runs smoothly and effectively.
• Manage, develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies, purchasing team and promotion plans.
• To focus and emphasize market trend, new products, and competitors.
• Maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure high quality products and deliver on time.
• Make sure all the stock orders from operation can get in time, sufficient and delivered.
• Review slow moving and fast-moving items to analyze sales by categories.
• Review vendors performance regularly especially for stocks available, delivery, prices, and payments.
• Cooperate with operation and warehouse if stocks need to keep in advance especially for normal and seasonal promotions.
• Make regular market survey and competitors analysis such as new products, pricing, promotions, and activities.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and yearly sales reports and submit to the management.
• Attend trade shows and exhibitions to get more product sourcing and vendors.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in international sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Familiarity with sourcing practices in specific industries (e.g., supermarket, stores, safety & construction material) is a plus.
• Knowledge of import regulations.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
