Electrical Manager/Engineer For Airport Tarmac Project

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee and execute electrical works for an airport tarmac project. The role involves designing, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems such as runway lighting, power distribution, and navigational aids, ensuring compliance with aviation standards and safety regulations.

• Design & Installation: Plan, design, and implement electrical systems for runway and apron lighting, power distribution, and ground support equipment.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all electrical works adhere to ICAO, FAA, DGCA, and airport authority regulations.
• Testing & Commissioning: Supervise testing of electrical components, lighting systems, and backup power systems.
• Power Distribution: Oversee HT/LT power distribution, substations, transformers, and generator installations.
• Cabling & Grounding: Handle underground cabling, earthing systems, and lightning protection for airport infrastructure.
• Coordination: Work with civil, mechanical, and airside operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Material Procurement: Identify and procure electrical components as per project specifications.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve issues in electrical installations and ensure long-term reliability.
• Documentation: Maintain technical reports, as-built drawings, and compliance documents.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Masters degree preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in electrical works for airport projects or large infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in runway lighting, AGL (Airfield Ground Lighting), and power distribution.
• Experience in SCADA, PLC systems, and automation for airport electrical systems.
