We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Chief of Staff to support the COO of a leading Small Finance Bank in Mumbai. The Chief of Staff will act as a trusted advisor and right-hand person to the COO, facilitating effective decision-making, ensuring alignment across the executive team, and leading strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the housing finance industry, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects while driving efficiency and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Support to the CEO:
- Act as the primary liaison between the COO and internal/external stakeholders.
- Work closely with the COO to drive business priorities, manage operational tasks, and support long-term strategic planning.
- Ensure the COO is well-prepared for meetings, presentations, and decision-making by providing accurate information, reports, and research.
- Facilitate communication across the leadership team, ensuring clarity on priorities, timelines, and expectations.
Operational Oversight:
- Oversee key business processes and initiatives on behalf of the COOO, ensuring their successful execution.
- Coordinate the efforts of different departments to ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
- Identify and address challenges, inefficiencies, or gaps in operations, ensuring smooth workflow and execution.
- Track and follow up on key initiatives, projects, and action items to ensure timely completion and accountability.
Leadership Team Coordination:
- Collaborate with the executive team to ensure cohesion and synergy across all departments.
- Serve as a point of contact and coordination for the leadership team to ensure cross-functional collaboration.
- Facilitate leadership meetings by preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on key action points.
- Drive the agenda for quarterly business reviews, board meetings, and other strategic discussions.
Project Management:
- Lead and manage high-priority projects and special initiatives, from conception to implementation.
- Drive strategic projects that have a significant impact on the company's performance and growth.
- Provide project oversight and ensure that all projects meet deadlines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
- Track progress of key initiatives and provide regular updates to the CEO and leadership team.
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as a key representative for the COO in interactions with stakeholders, including board members, regulators, investors, and business partners.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials for meetings with key external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely communication with all internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the COO.
Data-Driven Decision-Making:
- Analyze business performance data and key metrics to provide insights and recommendations to the COO.
- Conduct research and gather industry trends to inform business strategy and decision-making.
- Support financial analysis, business modeling, and risk assessments to guide strategic choices.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor teams working on strategic initiatives, ensuring collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- Support the COO in fostering a strong organizational culture, promoting values of integrity, excellence, and innovation.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience, with 5+ years in a senior management or leadership role, preferably in the financial services or housing finance sector.
Industry Knowledge:
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and influence senior executives.
- Project Management: Proven experience in managing complex, high-impact projects with a focus on execution and results.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills, data analysis expertise, and the ability to provide strategic recommendations based on business metrics.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
