DigiLantern - Quality Assurance Engineer - Web & Mobile App Testing (4-5 yrs)

We are looking for an experienced Manual Tester to join our dynamic team. As a Manual Testing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of web and mobile applications developed by our team. You will be responsible for executing test cases, reporting defects, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the products we deliver meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform manual testing by executing test cases and test scripts based on the requirements and specifications of web and mobile applications.

- Accurately document and log defects found during testing using defect tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.

- Ensure that defects are properly communicated and prioritized.

- Perform regression testing on new code releases to ensure that previously fixed issues do not reoccur and that new functionality does not disrupt existing features.

- Develop detailed test plans and test scripts/cases for functional, integration, and system testing.

- Ensure that business requirements are fully traceable through the test case execution process.

- Maintain traceability matrices to track requirements, test cases, and results.

- Assist with root cause analysis for key/critical defects to ensure quick resolution.

- Work closely with developers to identify solutions for complex defects.

- Act as the point of contact for communication between QA and development teams, ensuring clarity on defects and expected resolution timelines.

- Document the testing process, including test case creation, execution, and results.

- Provide detailed reports on test progress, defects, and overall product quality.

- Share knowledge about manual testing best practices and contribute to improving processes to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.

Skills & Qualifications :

- 4-5 years of experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.

- Expertise in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts, as well as the ability to execute these scripts effectively.

- Proficient in defect logging, tracking, and managing using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or other defect tracking systems.

- Hands-on experience performing regression testing, ensuring that changes to the codebase do not affect existing functionality.

- Proven experience in testing responsive websites, mobile applications (iOS/Android), and cross-browser compatibility.

- Knowledge of testing tools like JIRA, TestRail, or other similar defect and test case management tools.

- Strong attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of the application is thoroughly tested and documented.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document test results, defects, and to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
