Infrastructure Engineer (Security)

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain secure and reliable infrastructure solutions, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization.
Proactively identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities across the infrastructure.
Implement and manage security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
Perform system hardening and security audits.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues promptly.
Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning activities.
Automate infrastructure tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Collaborate with development teams to ensure infrastructure supports application requirements.
Stay current with the latest security best practices and technologies.
Participate in on-call rotation for infrastructure support.
Required Skills & Experience:

7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering roles.
Strong experience with Linux/RHEL operating systems.
In-depth knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls).
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM).
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills & Experience:

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CEH).
