Senior Data Scientist Lead

Please DO NOT apply if you do not have machine learning / python experience or 2 plus years or you are a fresher. We are NOT looking for power BI or visualization experience.

Responsibilities:

Technology focused

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions and strategy.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models for various applications, such as credit scoring, fraud detection, and customer segmentation.
• Selecting features, and building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques.
• Data mining using various methods.
• Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems.
• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
• Choose the right Predictive or Machine Learning /Deep Learning model for the problem.
• Apply those models and extract meaningful insights.
• Measure and improve results (if needed).

Business Focused

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing & sales, engineering, and business development to define data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Perform data pre-processing, cleaning, and transformation tasks to ensure high-quality input for analytical models.
• Create data visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate model performance, updating algorithms and improving accuracy as needed.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data science and fintech.

Requirements:

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree (or above) in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 year of experience in a data science or analytics role, preferably in the fintech sector.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python is a must.
• Experience with data manipulation, data wrangling and data analysis using tools like Pandas, NumPy, etc.
• Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning model algorithms like K-means clustering, Logistic Regression, Random Forest, XGBoost, etc.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure is a plus.
• Familiarity with web scraping is a plus.

Other Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
