Video Editor

Video Editor is responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product that is suitable for broadcasting. They work closely with the director, cinematographer, and other members of the production team to bring the vision for the project to life.

Job Description

• Review and edit raw footage, including selecting the best takes, arranging scenes in a logical sequence, and adding special effects, music, and sound effects.
• Collaborate with the director and other members of the production team to ensure the final product meets their creative vision and specifications.
• Use non-linear editing software to assemble the footage, make corrections and modifications, and add visual effects, music, and sound.
• Ensure that the final product is of the highest quality, with clear and precise audio and visual elements.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in video editing technology and techniques, and incorporate them into the work where appropriate.
• Manage the file-based workflow, including the organization of digital assets and backups.
• Work within tight deadlines, often under pressure, to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.

Desired Skills

• Bachelor s degree in film, video production, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio of work.
• Proficiency in non-linear editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Strong technical skills, including an understanding of audio and visual editing techniques, color correction, and special effects.
• Excellent creative skills, with an eye for visual storytelling and an ability to interpret the director s vision.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work closely with the director and other members of the production team.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to quality control.
