Software Quality Engineer(Automation)

Design, develop, and maintain automated testing suites and frameworks to facilitate the continuous integration and deployment of software applications. Lead the software development lifecycle (SDLC) while collaborating with stakeholders to establish comprehensive testing strategies. Responsible for the development and execution of automated test scripts, ensuring that software releases meet the highest quality standards. Analyze test results, manage and track test statuses, log and monitor defects, and fulfill specific standards and end-user requirements. Promote ongoing process improvements in testing methodologies, including the development and application of automated procedures for future replication.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Quality Assurance.
• Should possess hands-on experience in designing and executing automation scripts for Web-based Desktop applications and API Testing tools
• Should have the ability to understand various data exchange formats like XML, JSON etc
• Understanding of Application Programming Interface (API) testing methodologies
• Good business English skills (Written and spoken).

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with developers and stakeholders
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Tosca to ensure high-quality test coverage.
• Proactively identify issues with test scripts or the Tosca environment and collaborate with the team to resolve them.
• Participate in reviews and continuous improvement processes within the test automation practice.
• Identify, log, and track defects, maintaining clear documentation throughout.
• Maintain traceability between test cases/scripts and business requirements.
• Provide release notes and execution results to lead testers and Product Owners.
• Ensure team adherence to testing standards, guidelines, and methodologies.
• Create framework components and reusable functions for automation and performance testing.
• Collaborate with the team to review results and ensure entry and exit criteria are met.
• Familiarity with test documentation, validation, and defect management.
• Engage with various stakeholders to ensure testing services meet the organizational objectives and demands.
• Quantify, manage, track and report testing status, SLA and KPIs.
