Solution Architect - Data Analytics Platform (10-15 yrs)

Job Description :

We're looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join our team and play a key role in designing and delivering innovative technical solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Platform Architecture and Design :

- Architect and develop a scalable Smart Store Data Analytics Platform to integrate data from ESLs, IoT sensors, cameras, and digital signage.

- Define data models, storage solutions, and processing workflows for both structured and unstructured data.

- Design robust data pipelines and workflows for real-time ingestion, transformation, and retrieval.

2. Collaboration with Stakeholders :

- Partner with Product Management to align technical architecture with strategic goals.

- Coordinate with internal R&D teams, CX teams, and outsourced developers to ensure technical feasibility and high-quality outcomes.

- Guide technology partners and vendors in integrating third-party tools and services seamlessly.

3. Data Integration and Management :

- Oversee real-time data ingestion and processing from diverse IoT devices.

- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for efficient data transformation and management.

- Ensure compliance with global data security and privacy regulations, including GDPR and HIPAA.

4. Performance and Security :

- Design for high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability under heavy IoT data loads.

- Implement robust security protocols to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.

5. Technical Leadership and Innovation :

- Act as a thought leader for the Smart Store platform vision.

- Mentor teams on best practices for data architecture, real-time analytics, and system scalability.

- Stay updated on emerging trends in IoT, cloud computing, and edge technologies to future-proof the platform.

Qualifications :

Education and Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in data engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.

- Minimum of 10 - 15 years of experience in data engineering, platform development, or data architecture, with expertise in IoT or data platform solutions.

Technical Skills :

- Cloud Platforms : Expertise in AWS, Azure, and GCP, including tools like Redshift, BigQuery, and Azure Synapse.

- Big Data Technologies : Hands-on experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, and Snowflake.

- Data Modelling : Advanced skills in dimensional, relational, and NoSQL schema design.

- Programming Languages : Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, and SQL for scripting and data manipulation.

- Data Integration & Processing : Expertise in ETL/ELT pipelines, real-time data streaming, and frameworks like Databricks, Talend, and Informatica.

- Real-Time Analytics Tools : Experience with tools like Kinesis, Redis, and Presto.

- Databases : Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Cassandra.

- Data Governance : Familiarity with data privacy standards (GDPR, HIPAA) and governance frameworks.

- BI Tools : Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, and Looker for data visualization.

- DevOps Practices : Experience with CI/CD pipelines, microservices architecture, and API-driven systems.

- Machine Learning and AI Frameworks : Familiarity with ML and AI tools is a plus.

Certifications : AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, or Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate.

Additional certifications in data management, governance, or privacy are an advantage.
