Lead Database Analyst/Developer

1. Database Designing

• Design and develop scalable database solutions that meet the organizations data storage, retrieval, and management needs.
• Work with stakeholders to define database requirements and data models, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Design data flows, data structures, and processes that support Big Data integration and analytics.
• Expertize in PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, etc.
• Expertize in Data Migration between cross database platforms.
• Expertize in Linux commands.

2. Big Data Integration and Management

• Implement solutions that integrate Big Data tools and platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL databases) into the existing database infrastructure.
• Develop data pipelines and ETL processes for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Ensure seamless data flow and accessibility across various systems and data sources.

3. Performance Optimization and Scaling

• Optimize database performance.
• Design solutions to provide efficient scalability to handle large data volumes.
• Conduct regular performance assessments and implement improvements as needed to maintain optimal database performance.

4. Database Security and Compliance

• Conduct security audits and monitor for potential vulnerabilities within the database environment.
• Define data retention and archiving policies for efficient storage management.

6. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams

• Work closely with data engineers, Business Analysts, and application developers to understand data requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure database environments are resilient, backed up, and disaster-proof.
• Facilitate training and knowledge sharing on best practices for database and Big Data technologies.

7. Research and Technology Evaluation

• Stay updated with the latest database technologies, trends, and best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools and platforms that enhance data processing, storage, and retrieval capabilities.
• Lead proof-of-concept (POC) projects to assess the feasibility and performance of new technologies.

8. Leadership and Documentation

• Document database architecture, design specifications, and system configurations for current and future reference.
• Prepare project plans, timelines, and reports on progress and status for stakeholders.
• Ensure that all database solutions are thoroughly documented and accessible for ongoing maintenance and support.
