Senior System Administrator

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are desirable.
• Proven experience in IT administration, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of system and network administration principles, practices, and tools.
• Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux), networking protocols, and security technologies.
• Experience with virtualization, cloud computing, and storage systems is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.

Job Role :

As an Senior System Administrator, you will be responsible for involves managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various hardware, software, and network components to ensure optimal performance and security. The Senior System Administrator is responsible for implementing and enforcing IT policies, procedures, and best practices while providing technical support to end-users.

Key Responsibilities :

1. System Administration:

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and software applications.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
• Implement security measures to protect the organizations IT assets from unauthorized access, viruses, and other threats.
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity.

2. Network Management:

• Configure and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Monitor network traffic and performance, identifying and resolving connectivity issues.
• Implement network security measures such as access controls, encryption, and intrusion detection /prevention systems.
• Conduct periodic network audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security standards.

3. User Support:

• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related problems in a timely manner.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding procedures for employees, including provisioning/deprovisioning user accounts and access rights.
• Conduct user training sessions and create documentation to promote IT literacy and self- help among staff members. IT Infrastructure.

4. Planning and Expansion:

• Evaluate new technologies and recommend hardware/software upgrades or replacements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT requirements and develop scalable solutions to meet their needs.
• Plan and execute IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

5. Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to IT security and data privacy.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of IT assets, configurations, and procedures.
• Participate in IT audits and assist with remediation of findings as necessary.
