Engineering Manager - Distributed Systems (10-15 yrs)

Responsibilities :

Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for professional growth.

Develop and implement best practices in software engineering, including architecture reviews, testing methodologies, and continuous improvement processes.

Collaborate with product management and leadership to define and execute the long-term product roadmap.

Drive cross-functional collaboration and coordination across engineering teams.

Ensure high technical standards and operational excellence within the engineering team.

Hire and nurture top engineering talent, building a strong and diverse team.

Qualifications :

- 12+ years of extensive experience in building and operating large-scale distributed systems, with a strong preference for experience with containers, virtualization, or operating system technologies.

- 3+ years of proven experience managing and mentoring engineering teams, with a successful track record of scaling teams from 5 to 30+ engineers.

- Strong technical expertise in relevant technologies and a deep understanding of software development best practices.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

- A strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Customer Support).
