Design Manager

Responsible to lead the programming and coordination of building designs for various projects. To lead in setting up client s design criteria/playbook and building design templates that govern the design of the technologically advanced and sustainable facilities. Should be operating on both strategic and tactical levels. Manage internal and outsourced teams in an extremely fast paced environment that has a high degree of ambiguity.

Expected scope of Work:

Lead a team that is creating new, efficient, economical, and standardized building designs in India

Coordinate and collaborate with a wide variety of internal operations, design, and engineering stakeholders to increase the efficiency and efficacy of the building design program

Model excellence in design input gathering, partner collaboration and stakeholder alignment

Manage third party architects, consultants, engineers and designers responsible for creating building design standards

Present and facilitate strategic design discussions

Coordinate workshops that drive alignment on key issues for new building designs and initiatives to drive the associate experience, operational efficiency, and reduction of first and lifecycle costs

Lead technical design reviews

Ensure consistency in design standards across facilities

Drive compliance of Amazons global design standardization

Develop strategic building solutions which meet or exceed our quality requirements and drive value engineering and standardization across all aspects of the facility

Collaborate with local regulatory agencies and certification agencies to ensure compliance with NBC, state and municipal requirements and building codes

Periodic update of design playbook for constant improvement of design standards
