Deputy General Manager-Taxation

Position Overview.
The Deputy General Manager Taxation will be responsible for managing and overseeing all taxation-related functions for the hotel group.
This senior leadership role ensures compliance with tax regulations, develops and implements tax strategies, manages tax reporting, and minimizes tax liabilities across the organization.
The position will also involve providing strategic advice on tax-related matters to senior management and supporting operational teams in tax-related decision-making..
Key Responsibilities.
Tax Compliance and Reporting:.
Oversee and manage tax filings, returns, and compliance for the hotel chain in all jurisdictions where the company operates..
Ensure timely payment and accurate filing of corporate income tax returns, GST filings, payroll taxes, and other related tax filings..
Ensuring the timely reconciliation of taxes (direct & indirect) with books of accounts and taking appropriate actions to ensure nil variances..
Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and coordinate with external auditors for tax audits..
Complying with notices from statutory authorities in timely manner..
Tax Strategy and Planning:.
Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies to optimize the overall tax position of the hotel group..
Analyze financial data and business activities to identify tax planning opportunities that align with company goals..
Provide input on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other business structures to ensure favorable tax treatment..
Leadership and Team Management:.
Lead and mentor the in-house tax team, ensuring professional development, training, and high performance..
Foster a collaborative environment with internal departments (finance, legal, operations) to ensure tax considerations are integrated into decision-making.
