DGM - Power Plant Projects @ Jodhpur (Project Head role)

Job Specification: Obtaining Statutory Approvals. Boiler, Turbine, BOP, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Erection and Commissioning. Monitoring Civil Construction and its progress. Declaration of COD within Schedule. Operation and Maintenance of Entire WTE plant.

25+ years of experience in power plants preferably in Biomass or MSW.

Having experience in Travelling Grate Boiler, AFBC Boiler, exposure in erection, commissioning and operation.

Should be in a leadership position at unit level in managing complete operation of a power plant.

Leadership, Team Building Quality. High degree of communication to various levels like IAS, IRS, IFS and coordination with various Govt Agencies. Able to Take new challenges, Curious, Creative with Critical Thinking of acumen with analytical ability.

Expert in Power Plant Project, Maintenance and Operation.

Seasoned, experienced and strong technical & operation professional from the Power Sector, who could lead the various teams effectively and efficiently engaged in O&M and projects related to compliances and future expansion.

Maintain excellent rapport and cordial relations with different internal and external stakeholders.

Strong ethics, integrity and highly sensitive on HSE matters.

Excellent leadership skills- proactive & ownership.

Key Responsibilities

1.Responsible for obtaining all Statutory approvals for the entire WtE project. Like LLA PPA Airport Authority CTE EC Factory and Boiler inspector and Registration of the Project at State Energy Department.

2.Meeting and follow up with State Government officials for the said approvals.

3.Planning, erection, commissioning and operation of WTE power plant.

4. MS Project and Implementation schedule monitoring.

5. Implement strategies for process improvements and day to day activity progress.

6. Ensuring completion of assignments within time and budget.

7. Reduction of frequency of Break downs and handling the situation if it occurs.

8. Monitor Preventive Maintenance Schedules for all departments.

9. Develop, execute and manage the projects to create or improve the entire system.

10. Implement Safety regulations and reductions of incidents and accidents.

11. Formulate Short term & long-term planning and its implementation.

12. Ensuring material availability in time and also reduce inventory.

13. Communication and Co-ordination with vendors if required.

Preferred candidate profile

• As a project head must have completed 4-5 power plant projects of capacity in between 8 -50MW.
• Must have in depth knowledge of leading all the function of power plant projects i.e. mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation, EHS etc.
• Must be from thermal, biomass, waste to energy or captive power plant units, candidates from wind, solar, nuclear, hydro power plants need not to apply.
• Qualified candidates having completed regular B.Tech. - Mechanical & BOE are preferred.
• Must be working as an AGM or DGM in power plant projects.
