Head - Mechanical Maintenance - Power Plant

Job Description:

Maintenance Planning & Execution:

• Formulateand monitor standard maintenance practices.
• Guide the team in compliance with maintenance and quality standards.
• Coordinate and monitor PM, CBM, SOP, SMP, SWI, and process standards.

Failure Analysis & Reliability:

• Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
• Implement Management of Change (MOC) tools.

Digital Initiatives:

• Drive digital initiatives across the plant.
• Develop paperless monitoring systems.

Statutory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with electricity boards regulations, pollution, and environmental norms.
• Ensure compliance with Indian Boiler Regulations and certification under the Factories Act.

Energy Saving Initiatives:

• Lead energy-saving initiatives by leveraging best practices and implementing sustainable processes.

Housekeeping & Safety:

• Ensure good housekeeping practices.
• Implement safety & sustainability standards to achieve zero reported incidents.

Breakdown Maintenance:

• Ensure execution of breakdown maintenance activities with minimum downtime.

Vendor Management:

• Partner with the commercial team in vendor management.
• Provide inputs on requirements and performance evaluation of service and product suppliers.

Data Sharing & Collaboration:

• Ensure seamless data sharing and collaboration within and across functions.

Budgeting & Planning:

• Plan and budget for technical upgrades and regular maintenance for the financial year.
• Optimize working capital through inventory management and spare consumption patterns.

Energy Optimization:

Optimize power consumption and embed sustainable practices towards energy saving.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications:

• Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: 12-20 years in a similarrole

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent planning and organizational abilities
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical maintenance practices
• Proficient in digital tools and systems for maintenance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of statutory compliance and regulatory standards
• Ability to drive energy-saving and sustainable initiatives

Job Details:

To lead and manage the Mechanical Maintenance department by ensuring the reliability and continuous availability of all equipment across all sections of the captive power plant. This includes planning and execution of shutdown, preventive, and predictive maintenance schedules in collaboration with CPP operations teams, as well as execution of breakdown maintenance activities
