Role & responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of products.
• Ensure the accuracy of inventory levels by managing stock control and conducting regular physical inventory counts.
• Manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and on-time delivery.
• Lead, train, and manage a team of warehouse staff, including scheduling and delegating tasks.
• Monitor staff performance and ensure they follow safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and ensure that stock levels are always adequate to meet distribution requirements.
• Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to manage stock replenishments and avoid stockouts or overstocking.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage orders.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, warehouse policies, and industry standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential risks or inefficiencies.
• Implement best practices for warehouse safety, including safe storage practices and proper use of equipment.
• Analyze and optimize warehouse processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Recommend and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, delivery times, and warehouse utilization.
