New Product Development Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and Development:

Conduct feasibility studies to assess material selection, manufacturing processes, and costs.

• Prototyping and Testing:

Oversee the prototyping process, ensuring alignment with design specifications.

Conduct product testing to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and durability standards.

• Collaboration Across Departments:

Work closely with the Product Development, Production, and Quality Control teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and efficiency.

Coordinate with suppliers to source suitable materials and components for new designs.

• Market Research and Benchmarking:

Analyze industry trends and customer requirements to identify opportunities for new products.

Benchmark competitor products to ensure Denz remains a leader in innovative hardware solutions.

• Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare and maintain detailed product documentation, including specifications, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and technical reports. including cost sheet.

Present project updates and prototypes to senior management.

• Process Improvement:

Identify and implement improvements in product design and development workflows.

Educational Background:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Experience in product design and development, preferably in the hardware or manufacturing industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including casting, forging, CNC machining, and finishing techniques like electroplating or powder coating.
• Familiarity with material properties (e.g., brass, steel, aluminum, zinc) and their applications in product design.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Language Proficiency:
• Fluency in English and Hindi for effective communication.
