Job Description

- Lead teams of 40-50 people

- Good understanding of technologies (Data and Digital)

- Have managed project financials

- Good with customer stakeholder management

- Delivery leadership/skills-eg: Have managed large projects/programs

- Must have Agile experience

- Have experience in data engineering

Project Delivery Management :

- Lead and manage the delivery of data engineering projects, ensuring that all phases (planning, execution, testing, and deployment) are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

- Coordinate and manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, while ensuring effective communication with stakeholders and leadership.

- Provide regular status updates, manage risks, and address challenges to ensure successful project delivery.

Team Leadership and Collaboration :

- Lead a team of data engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure smooth project execution.

- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team, focusing on knowledge-sharing, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

- Mentor and guide junior members of the data engineering team to ensure skill development and growth.

Client and Stakeholder Management :

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and business stakeholders, ensuring their requirements are understood and met through efficient delivery of data solutions.

- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and issues.

- Manage client expectations and ensure the successful handover of solutions upon completion.

Data Engineering Expertise :

- Provide subject matter expertise in data engineering, including data pipeline architecture, data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.

- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of data pipelines that ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable data solutions.

- Review technical designs, code, and deliverables to ensure alignment with business goals and industry best practices.

Process Improvement & Best Practices :

- Advocate for and implement data engineering best practices, tools, and frameworks to ensure the highest quality of solutions and continuous improvement in delivery processes.

- Analyze and improve internal delivery processes, ensuring efficient workflows, communication, and project management practices.

Risk Management & Issue Resolution :

- Proactively identify risks and challenges within the project lifecycle and work with teams to mitigate issues before they impact delivery.

- Take ownership of troubleshooting and resolving technical or operational issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
