Cash Till Leader

Function

• To manage the day to day operations of the shops effectively and efficiently, maximizing sales and ensuring the security of stocks and cash in accordance with company policy of DDFS
• Ensure that maximum sales and profits are achieved
• Ensure that sales targets are met by the effective communication of relevant information to sales assistants and taking corrective action in the event of sales slowdown
• Ensure all personnel are motivated towards excellent customer service
• Ensure all SOPs are adhered and minimize compliance
• To promote and result in all inhouse promotion / allowance

Key Responsibilities

The Cash Till Leader is responsible for handling the Sales Associates at Cash Till and supervising them. He or she is responsible for the smooth till operation and will be heading the teams of respective Shift on their respective locations.

The role as detailed under the following headings: Cash Handing and Tills Management, Queue Management, Sales, Customer Service, Staff, Merchandising & Display, Stock Control and Handling, Cash Register procedures and Allowance Maximization.

A. Sales

• Ensure maximum sales and profits are achieved
• Ensure all Sales Associates are attained and maintain a high standard of product knowledge

B. Customer Service

• Ensure that all staff attain the highest standard of customer service and implement "quality customer service"
• Ensure that all Sales Associates work as a team

C. Staff

• Ensure and supervise that all Sales Associates are trained and develop to the highest retail standards and to actively assist the personnel and training section in this function
• Always ensure that the team show total attention and consideration to all customers

D. Cash Register Procedures

• Ensure the float is correct and that all keyed information into the POS terminal is done accurately
• Process customers transactions efficiently
• Handling money/ credit cards and any form of payment in a safe, secure, and responsible manner
• Ensure cash and documentation is always secure
• Balance the cash at the end of the shift

D. Merchandising and Display

• Ensure that a high standard of pricing, ticketing, layout, display, and housekeeping are maintained by the team at cash tills
• Ensure that the shop is maintained in a neat and tidy condition
• Ensure merchandise displays are maintained to the required company standard
• Maintain a constant liaison with relevant personnel to ensure that the product range and stock levels are consistent with the standards as required

E. Stock Control and Handling

• Ensure through effective stocking procedure that the correct level of stock is on display to meet the customer always demands
• Ensure with the Floor Manager that all members of the shop floor team adhere to the correct procedure for the correct movements of stock
  

General

• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with regards to all company documentation, information, and statistics
• Complete Cash Till report at the end of each shift
• Manage the shop floor in accordance with Delhi Duty Free company policy to establish an operation that meets performance levels as outlined by management
• Set a good example to all members of staff regarding attendance, punctuality, attitude, and appearance
• Ensure units conform to all legal and company requirements
• Submit suggestions to senior management for any improvements to our operations
• Dress in the required business-like manner and adhere to the uniform code
• Show regard for all customers
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

• Maintain a high level of service through capable and well-trained staff
• Maintain adequate stocks to meet business demands
• Maintain and develop a good working relationship with senior management
• Candidates from Hotel Industry will be preferred.
