Key skills for the job
1. Product Strategy: Collaborate with the leadership team to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our healthcare interoperability solutions. Understand market trends, customer needs, and industry regulations to identify opportunities for product improvements and new feature development.
2. Requirements Gathering: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, UX designers, and subject matter experts, to gather and analyze user requirements. Translate customer feedback and business needs into actionable product requirements.
3. Product Development: Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept to release. Prioritize and plan product features based on business goals, technical feasibility, and market demands. Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
4. Interoperability Standards: Stay abreast of industry standards and best practices related to healthcare interoperability, such as FHIR, HL7, and DICOM. Leverage this knowledge to drive product decisions and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
5. User Experience: Champion user-centric design principles and work with the UX/UI team to create intuitive and seamless user experiences. Conduct usability tests and gather user feedback to continuously improve product usability.
6. Competitive Analysis: Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify product gaps and opportunities. Utilize findings to refine the product strategy and differentiate our offerings.
7. Product Performance: Monitor and analyze key product metrics, customer feedback, and support inquiries to evaluate product performance. Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for customer success.
8. Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams, to gather feedback and ensure alignment on product priorities and objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
2. +8 years of experience in business analysis within the US healthcare industry, preferably with a focus on healthcare interoperability solutions.
3. Solid understanding of healthcare interoperability standards and protocols, such as FHIR, HL7 and CCD.
4. Proven track record of successfully launching and managing healthcare technology products or solutions.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable product insights.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
7. Experience working in Agile development environments and using project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
8. Passion for innovation and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in healthcare technology and interoperability.
9. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
10. Healthcare certifications (e.g., CPHIMS, CHIME) are a plus.
