Job Title: Glass Cutting Machine Operator

Department: Production

Location: Factory/Manufacturing Unit

Reports To: Production Supervisor/Manager

Job Responsibilities:

Operate glass cutting machines to accurately cut glass sheets as per production requirements for interior design and furniture applications.

Review technical drawings, templates, or specifications to determine the dimensions and cutting patterns.

Set up and calibrate machines for specific glass types and thicknesses, ensuring precise cuts and smooth edges.

Handle glass sheets with care to avoid breakage and ensure safety during loading and unloading.

Inspect finished glass pieces for quality, including checking for chips, cracks, and dimensional accuracy.

Maintain machinery, replace blades or other components, and troubleshoot minor issues to minimize downtime.

Adhere to workplace safety procedures, especially when handling hazardous materials and equipment.

Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.

Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in glass cutting is a plus.

At least 2 years of experience operating glass cutting machines in a production environment.

Strong understanding of glass properties, cutting techniques, and safety precautions.

Ability to work with precision tools and measuring devices.

Physical dexterity and ability to handle heavy materials safely.
