Role & responsibilities

Reporting to VP HR & Administration

Direct Subordinates - Nil

Qualification Graduate in any field / MBA HR / MILS / MSW / MMS. Certification in auditing ISO 9001:2015 and Social Audits will have added advantage.

Experience 10 to 15 years of experience

Location Mumbai and Tarapur

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• This position is responsible to oversea customer audits, related compliances in coordination with all the departments and plants
• Conducting MR activities, monitoring compliance calendar
• Interaction with vendors/ customers in compliance related issues
• In-depth understanding of all the Labour and employment laws & related statutory acts as given by the central and the state government.
• Develop Standard operating procedures in line with mandated rules.
• Develop a robust Internal audit system for statutory compliance.
• Conducting regular Audits at all the plants, analyze data and give feedback for improvement to the plants and reporting the same to Management
• Develop and maintaining MIS and Statistics which is reported to Management on a periodic basis
• Conduct regular monthly review Meetings at each plant
• Take part in accident / incident investigation and carry out analysis of statistics and suggesting improvement plan.
• Preparing and facing all external audits including ISO9001:2015, Social responsibility, CTPAT Security, Factory capability & capacity, BSCI, SMETA, IKEA excellency projects, etc
• Prepare, organize, and maintain inspection records and investigate complaints and suspected violations. Monitors follow-up actions in cases where violations were found, and review compliance monitoring reports.
• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
• Maintaining a record of all licenses, certification, audit reports, CAP/remediation plan submitted, contracts, etc.
• Responsible for health and welfare measures of the employees
• Drive various Committee meetings of the Plants viz. Grievance Committee, Works Committee, Canteen Committee, PoSH Committee, H&S Committee.
• Verify Contractors’ Invoices and maintain their records across the Group companies.
• Execute employee related subsidy schemes declared by the State and Central Govt.

Functional Skills:

• Good communications skills and confidence level
• Able to handle employee disputes, settlement, and legal cases independently.
• Knowledge and experience on minimum wages, PF, ESI, Payroll, gratuity, bonus and other labor laws
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, and other MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
• A business acumen partnered with a commitment to legality
• Should be energetic and solution oriented
• Excellent interpersonal skills which enable ahead of compliance to work effectively with others
• Travel: 15% of the time.
