About the opportunity

Dayforce is currently seeking a Accounting Specialist II to join our Dayforce Managed Team. We service our clients by supporting the complete employee life cycle including payroll, workforce management, benefits, and contact center; allowing the client to focus on their core business.

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

What you ll get to do

• Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including budget vs. actual comparisons.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and databases.
• Utilize accounting software to enter, track, and report financial data.
• Work closely with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
• Provide support and assistance to the finance team as needed.
• Identify areas for process improvement within the accounting function.
• Stay updated on accounting best practices and regulatory changes.

Skills and experience we value

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an Accounting Specialist or similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite,) and Microsoft Office
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Effective English communication skills, both written and verbal.
