Technical Writer

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer with 2 years of experience to join our team. As a Technical Writer will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and accurate documentation for our products, services, and processes. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional teams to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into easy-to-understand content for a variety of audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document Creation: Write, edit, and maintain user manuals, API documentation, product guides, installation instructions, troubleshooting guides, and online help content.
• Content Structuring: Organize complex technical information in a logical, user-friendly format, adhering to company style guides and standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), including engineers, product managers, and designers, to gather accurate technical information.
• Quality Assurance: Review and proofread technical documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
• Technical Research: Conduct research to gain a deep understanding of the product or system to create thorough and accurate documentation.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the development of internal documentation processes and tools to improve efficiency and consistency across the documentation team.
• Documentation Tools: Use various documentation tools and platforms (e.g., Markdown, Confluence, RoboHelp, MadCap Flare, etc.) to create and maintain high-quality documentation.

Required Skillset:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical writing or related roles.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Writing Skills: Strong written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to present complex concepts clearly and concisely.
• Technical Proficiency: Understanding of basic technical concepts in software development, hardware, or engineering, depending on the company's industry (e.g., software, IT, electronics).
• Familiarity with Documentation Tools: Experience with common technical writing tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Confluence, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar).
• Research Ability: Ability to quickly learn new technologies and understand technical concepts.
• Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
