Key Responsibilities:

• Data Engineering & Cloud Storage: Design and implement scalable BigQuery solutions for data warehousing, analytics, and reporting.
• Data Governance & Security: Implement GCP Data Catalog, DLP, and Cloud Audit policies to enforce data security, compliance, and lineage tracking.
• Metadata & Data Management: Develop and maintain metadata frameworks to improve data discoverability, classification, and quality management.
• Data Quality & Monitoring: Establish data quality checks, validation frameworks, and anomaly detection to ensure high-quality and reliable datasets.
• Cloud Security & Compliance: Work with Cloud Audit and Chronicle to monitor data access, enforce security controls, and manage compliance risks.
• Python Scripting & Automation: Develop Python-based scripts for data processing, metadata management, and automation of governance workflows.
• Collaboration & Best Practices: Work closely with data analysts, security teams, and cloud engineers to implement best practices in cloud data management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6-8 years of experience in data engineering, governance, and cloud security.
• Strong expertise in BigQuery and Cloud Storage for large-scale data processing and analytics.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services such as Data Catalog, DLP, Cloud Audit, and Chronicle.
• Proficiency in Python for data automation, transformation, and governance workflows.
• Expertise in metadata and data management to ensure proper data classification, lineage, and accessibility.
• Understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
• Experience with data quality frameworks and anomaly detection techniques.
