Job Description

Vice President, Database Engineer II

We re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Database Engineer II to join our Asset servicing team . This role is in Chennai, TN -HYBRID.

In this role, you ll make an impact in the following ways:

Looking for an experienced database developer with 8+ years of experience with primary skillset as Oracle SQL, PL-SQL
Writing DDL, DML statements
Creating program views, indexes, functions, stored procedures, packages, triggers, analytical functions, and complex queries.
Writing optimized SQL queries for integration with other applications
Designing database tables and dictionaries
Developing scripts, procedures, and triggers for application development
Maintaining data quality checks and performance tuning
Perform data loading, cleansing, transformation.
Has knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Teamwork, communication, and organization skills and possess analytical thinking skills.
Fair understanding of agile methodology, Jira, confluence, git pipelines
Actively participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies.
Self-starter and Active learning engagement.
Leverage existing products/functionality and promote reuse. Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices. Collaborate closely with all the other members of the team to take shared responsibility for the overall efforts that the team has committed to. Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineers, business users, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions.

To be successful in this role, we re seeking the following:

Strong stakeholder management and people skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities under pressure. You will have strong analytical and management skills, are familiar with Agile methodology and played an active role in scrums such as backlog refinement, sprint planning and execution.
Experience in data management and strong knowledge of best practices
Strong organization, communication, and presentation skills
Expertise of managing data and processes in a global enterprise environment with an understanding of database and schema design
Excellent communication, both in listening and conveying messages to a wide range of stakeholder groups
Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills, with an ability to develop creative and structured solutions
Ability to influence relevant parties to ensure milestones are met.
Project management via and Agile execution methodology.
Technical proficiencies: MS Office, Oracle,PL/SQL.
