Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with a strong background in predictive modelling, specifically focused on price optimization and portfolio management. The ideal candidate will be proficient in leveraging advanced analytical techniques and technologies to drive data-driven decision-making and maximize profitability. You will be responsible for developing and implementing models that optimize pricing strategies and enhance portfolio performance.
Software Requirements: - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and model development.
- Experience with SageMaker or H2O for building, training, and deploying machine learning models at scale.
- Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience using Tableau or similar tools for data visualization and reporting.
- Experiment, develop, and implement predictive models to optimize pricing strategies and enhance portfolio management.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, and operations to understand business requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Utilize data visualization tools such as Tableau to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Employ machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques for data analysis and model development.
- Conduct A/B testing and other experimental designs to validate model effectiveness and optimize strategies.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data science and machine learning.
- Programming Languages: Proficient in Python or R for data analysis and predictive modelling.
- Data Visualization: Experience with Tableau for creating insightful visual representations of data.
- Machine Learning: Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and tools such as SageMaker, H2O, and ML Ops workflows.
- Data Management: Strong SQL skills for effective data extraction and manipulation.
- Statistical Analysis: Understanding of statistical methodologies and concepts relevant to predictive modelling.
- 6-8 years of experience in data science with a focus on predictive modelling for price optimization and portfolio management.
- Proven experience in analyzing large datasets and deriving actionable insights.
- Experience in working with machine learning models and understanding their application in business contexts.
- Analyze and prepare datasets for predictive modelling tasks.
- Develop and refine predictive models to optimize pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through effective data visualization.
- Conduct experiments such as A/B testing to evaluate model performance and guide decision-making.
- Stay updated on the latest data science techniques and industry trends to continuously improve methodologies.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across various functions.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
