Role: Director - Data Engineering

Experience: 15+ Years

Work Location: Hyderabad

Required Experience:

- A proven modern Data engineering & Analytics leader with 15 - 20 years of overall experience in leading distributed teams.

- Experience in managing execution of Data Engineering & Analytics programs, in a technical hands-on capacity on leading cloud data platforms.

- Demonstrable leadership in building and managing & motivating high performing teams for data engineering, analytics & Data Science.

- 3-4 years' experience in leading and managing practice level operations at a large tier 1 services organization.

- Experience managing delivery & operations of an organization/portfolio of at least 150 people.

- Experience in Client Management Exposure in an onsite client facing role is desired.

- Experience working with globally distributed team and stake holders.

- Experience leading Pre-sales activities from offshore for new opportunities and proposals.

- Experience in handling escalations and taking complete responsibility and ownership on all critical/major issues related to delivery.

- Possess top-notch consulting skills on data and analytics related domain & technology.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Familiarity with retail, hi-tech & manufacturing domain.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Delivery Management:

- Develop, review & manage critical solutions, review health of projects and accounts.

- Partner and collaborate with other technology practices within the organization.

- Develop relevant solutions and capabilities to provide compelling differentiation in the markets that we operate in.

- Contribute to account/practice growth by pro-actively working with Client Partners in identifying the new opportunities and identify resource needs.

Performance management:

- Experience leading performance management cycles - define goals and measurement for the goals.

- Conducting appraisal cycles for the practice.

- Managing feedback and building recommendations for compensation & benefits.

Unit Operations:

- P&L management through effective resource utilization.

- Planning and executing day to day operations for the practice.

- Capability to manage changing operational goals and demands.

- Work with HR and Hiring teams in attracting and retaining the right talent and timely fulfillment of resource needs.

- Strategize, Build and Streamline operations and processes in co-ordination with sales and delivery teams.
